Nova Relay
Relay keeps your members up to date on what happened while they were away.
In short
Relay keeps one pinned live message, or a daily post, summing up what the team announced and what people discussed across your Discord and Telegram public channels. Community PRO.
Relay keeps your members up to date on what happened while they were away. Nova reads your community's public channels, on Discord and Telegram together, and writes a few short lines: what the team announced and what people talked about. Relay is a Community PRO feature.
You choose how it shows up:
| Mode | What members see |
|---|---|
| Live message (default) | One pinned message that Nova edits in place every few hours, like a small dashboard of what's happening. Nothing new is posted, so nobody gets pinged by it. |
| Daily post | A new recap once a day, pinned in place of yesterday's. |
What it looks like
While you were away
📣 From the team
• Season 2 starts Monday, and your Season 1 points carry over.#announcements💬 What people talked about
• The new leaderboard was the talk of the day; a few people want a weekly view too.#general
• Wallet sign-in on mobile tripped a few people up; opening the page in the wallet's own browser fixed it. on TelegramLast 24h: 48 people · 312 messages · busiest in #general · Updated 2 hours ago · next in 4 hours
Each line says what happened, not just that something did, and points to the channel or topic where it happened, so members can tap through. The same topic discussed in several channels, or on both platforms, is one line. If your community runs its own bot (Nova Soul), Relay posts as that bot.
Live message. Nova rewrites the lines only when enough new was said since the last update. Otherwise it keeps them and refreshes the counts and the "updated" time. A quiet stretch costs nothing. Lines older than the period the message covers are taken off. If someone deletes the message, Nova posts a new one at the next update.
Daily post. On a quiet day nothing is posted and the last recap stays pinned.

Every setting can be changed by asking Nova or on the Relay card in the Community Settings dashboard. In live mode, a change shows on the message right away.

"@Nova make the recap update every 3 hours and cover the last 48h" · "@Nova make the recap shorter and write it in Italian" · "@Nova put the live recap in the #news forum" · "@Nova switch Relay to a daily post at 18:00 Rome time"
What Relay reads, and what it never does
| Reads | Every channel, thread and forum topic that all members can already see |
| Never reads | Private and staff channels, private threads, age-restricted channels, DMs, other communities |
| Never writes | Member names, mentions, links, price predictions or calls to buy |
| Leaves out | Messages deleted by a moderator, by Guardian or by their author, and any channel you exclude |
Only a message from an admin or moderator can become team news, so a member posting a fake giveaway does not end up pinned as an announcement.
Set it up
-
As an admin, in the channel (Discord) or topic (Telegram forum) where the message should live:
"@Nova keep a live recap of the community pinned here"
The live message goes up right away with a short "nothing yet" note, and fills in at the first update with enough to say. Relay starts reading when you turn it on.
-
Post it in more places, or leave a channel out:
"@Nova also keep the recap in #general" · "@Nova don't read #off-topic for the recap"
-
Have both platforms? Turn Relay on in your Discord server and your Telegram group. Both show the same recap, covering both. To keep one platform to itself: "@Nova don't merge the recap with Telegram".
-
Need it now: "@Nova update the recap now" (2 a day). In live mode, an update that finds nothing new enough to rewrite does not use one.
-
Check on it any time with "@Nova is Relay on?": it lists the mode, what is read, where it posts, a link to the live message, and anything to fix.
Turning Relay off deletes what it was holding and takes the live message down.
