# Nova Scout

Nova Scout sends you, by direct message, the few open bounties, grants and hackathons that match your skills, from Superteam Earn, Zero Authority DAO, Karma and Cantina. Set it up with /scout; free for everyone.

It covers Superteam Earn (Solana), Zero Authority DAO (Stacks), the Karma grants registry (many ecosystems) and Cantina bug bounties. Jobs and ambassador programs are not covered yet.

***

## Set it up

1. Run `/scout` (on Telegram, in your private chat with Nova; on Discord, anywhere).
2. Pick what you are looking for, your skills and your ecosystems. Leaving a list empty means "any".
3. Optionally set a minimum reward, your timezone, send time and country.
4. Press **Start**. Your first picks arrive right away.

You can also just tell Nova:

> _"I'm a designer into Solana and Stacks. Send me bounties over $200 every Monday at 9am Rome time."_

> [!NOTE]
> Picks arrive as a direct message. On Discord, allow direct messages from the server you share with Nova. On Telegram, start a private chat with Nova first.

## What you receive

| Message | When |
| ------- | ---- |
| **Digest** | Weekly or daily at your local time. At most 5 listings, never one you have already seen. A period with no match sends nothing. |
| **Instant alert** | A strong new match, as soon as it is listed. At most 2 a day, daytime only. On by default; turn it off in `/scout`. |
| **Reminder** | 24 hours before a listing you saved closes, after Nova checks it is still open. |

Every listing shows the same things in the same order: the reward (with a dollar value when the token is not a stablecoin), the deadline in your own timezone, one line on what the work is, who is offering it and who can enter, and why it matched you.

## Buttons on a listing

| Button | What it does |
| ------ | ------------ |
| **Open listing** | Opens the original listing on its own platform. You always apply there. |
| **Save** | Keeps it in your saved list and reminds you 24 hours before it closes. |
| **Remind me** | Saves it and adds an earlier reminder, 3 days before. |
| **Not for me** | Hides it. Nova shows you fewer listings from that sponsor and of that kind. |

## Search without subscribing

Anyone can ask, with no setup:

> _"Any design bounties over $500 on Solana closing this week?"_

Nova answers from the same open listings and links each one.

## Good to know

* **Region-locked listings.** Many listings are open to one country only. Set your country and Nova hides the ones you cannot enter. Without it, they are shown with an "only" label.
* **Rolling and missing values.** A grant with no deadline says "rolling". A listing with no stated reward says so. Nova does not fill gaps.
* **Bug bounties** appear only if security is one of your skills. The figure is the program's maximum payout; most need identity verification and some charge a submission fee, both shown on the listing.
* **One profile per person.** Link your Discord and Telegram on the [dashboard](https://zeroauthoritydao.ai/docs/nova/alerts/manage.md) and both share one profile. You can also pause or delete it there.

> [!WARNING]
> Nova links listings; it does not vouch for sponsors. A listing marked "sponsor not verified" has not been checked by its platform. Never run code sent to you as a "test task" on a computer that holds a wallet.
