# Getting Started

Add Nova to Discord or Telegram, then mention it, reply to it or DM it to ask questions. Lists every slash command and where to go next.

## Quick Start

Once Nova is added to your server or group:

1. **Mention the bot** — Type `@NovaBot` in Discord and `@NovaAITheBot` in Telegram followed by your question in any channel
2. **Reply to Nova** — Continue a conversation by replying to any of Nova's messages
3. **DM the bot** — Send a direct message for private interactions
4. **Use slash commands** — Type `/` to see all available commands

> [!TIP]
> Nova works out of the box — no configuration required. Just add it and start asking questions. When you add it, Nova posts a short welcome for admins with the first steps.

## Available Commands

Run `/help` (or `/start` on Telegram) to see this list in the app, with example questions you can tap to try.

| | `/cancel` | Reset any ongoing command (Telegram only) |

Guardian, Harbor, Pulse, Games, Language Moderation and Snacks have no command: an admin or moderator turns them on by asking Nova in the server or group, for example _"@Nova turn on Guardian"_. See [Community](https://zeroauthoritydao.ai/docs/nova/community.md).
