# Protect your community from scams and spam

Nova will screen every message for scams and repeat spam, and keep each channel in the languages you choose.

## Give Nova the right permissions
Nova needs to delete messages and mute or ban members. On Discord, use the current invite link and keep Nova's role above the members it moderates. On Telegram, make Nova an admin with delete and ban rights. [Full guide](https://zeroauthoritydao.ai/docs/nova/community/guardian.md)

## Turn on Guardian
As an admin, in your server or group, say "@Nova turn on Guardian". On Discord, also set who reviews flags: "set the mod role to @Moderators". To watch first, say "activate Guardian without auto-moderation". [Full guide](https://zeroauthoritydao.ai/docs/nova/community/guardian.md)

## Choose where flags go

## Set channel languages

## Check and adjust
